THE HOOTS PREDICT WWE MONEY IN THE BANK

THE HOOTS PREDICT WWE MONEY IN THE BANK

So here we are again people, another WWE Pay Per VIew event live this Sunday for only….wait I don’t get paid to shill the network. If I did I’d put that Money in the Bank! Ha! Like how I did that?! Sure you did, so you’re sure to dig how we predict WWE Money in the Bank. Keep in mind WWE will likely add another match to either the kick-off show or the main card as they always do. Nonetheless let us begin.

Singles Match - Naomi (c)  vs Lana - Women’s Championship

“Just so you know Lana spelled backwards is killer” - Trash

Mmmm...Lana, too bad nobody is sure if she can actually wrestle. One thing is certain this will be a very very interesting match up. Everyone wants to see if the Gainesville Russian can do more than flaunt her stuff. Naomi has proven herself to be a rather solid champion, it’s just hard for anyone not to be in Charlotte’s shadow, but she’s done okay thus far. This match will either be a good surprise or complete train wreck. Unless Lana is Rusev in female form I don’t see her taking the title from Naomi. If she pulls a Kelly Kelly-esque roll up for the win it will kill the strong momentum the Smackdown Women’s division has built in the last few weeks. Naomi better win.

Tag Match - The Usos (c) vs The New Day - Tag Team Championship

Why am I not more excited for this match up? It’s not like I’ve seen the New Day vs. The Usos before, wait I have like a 1000 and 3 times. What? They haven’t faced the heel versions of the Usos. True, and the hood Usos are damn underrated. So I think this match-up is quite underrated, both these teams are some of the best workers in the business brother. Just like the Breezango vs. Usos match, any Uso Angry against any comedy is instant entertainment and New Day is the king of comedy in WWE. This is definitely a hard one to call a winner for as both teams could easily carry the division. I had initially picked The New Day to capture the titles, but I feel like it’s too early. I think New Day needs to freshen up their act as The Usos have. I don’t see a 300 plus day title reign in New Day’s future. I got the Usos winning, some hoots agree, some don’t.

Singles Match - Jinder Mahal (c) vs Randy Orton - WWE Championship

Some people love that Jinder Mahal is the WWE Champion, others are not. Those people must not have heard the commentators, the general managers, even the talent calling Smackdown Live the land of opportunity. Naomi captured her first championship on the Smackdown Live brand, as well as teams like American Alpha and Beauty and the Manbeast, let’s not forget AJ Styles became the face that runs the place there as well. So yes a RAW jobber can become world champion with hard work, dedication and a generic anti-american gimmick. If you’re big AF and a foreigner expect for Vinny Mac to push you to the moon. I personally think Jinder has done pretty good thus far as champion, it’s better than Orton doing nothing with it. And let’s be honest Jinder is just a SummerSlam set up for Cena to break Flair’s record. I see “Cowboy” Bob Orton getting involved somehow, maybe costing his son the championship. I hope so….if Snekman RKOs his own father, I’d mark out more than a teenager in Hot Topic. Jinder wins for the 3 billion marks in India. Hoot clean sweep!

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Charlotte vs Becky Lynch vs Natalya vs Carmella vs Tamina

THEE first Women’s MITB match, I honestly think this is the first women’s ladder match I’ve ever seen period. I think that’s kind of sad, as I’ve been watching wrestling since I was teething. Don’t think I would’ve been able to comprehend nor appreciate this match if I was younger though. I’m just really hoping this isn’t mediocre like the Hell in a Cell match between Charlotte and Sasha Banks. I also know every match I’ve seen from Natalya recently her timing has been completely off, again I’m hoping that’s not the case this Sunday, it could prove dangerous if so.

I expect Charlotte and Becky to carry the majority of the match with athletic spots here and there. Carmella having Elsworth in her corner is bound to add an extra element to the match, besides that I honestly don’t see her doing much. Although it would be cool if no men were involved in this match whatsoever. I think it would taint the overall legacy of the first Women’s MITB. For that reason Carmella has been deemed the favorite to win. At first I thought the smart money was in Carmella’s corner, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized she’s not winning it because it’s so obvious.

Which brings me to Tamina the least obvious choice will probably win it, she’s never received any type of major push since she debuted years ago. It could be because her ancient father was almost convicted of murder, can’t have the daughter of a murderer in the spotlight. It will be interesting to see what she does, because I never really remember her doing anything worth note. I picked Natalya to win mainly because I think she needs it more than any of the other 4. She’s needs to put herself on the same level as Charlotte and Becky and this will do it.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Kevin Owens vs Nakamura vs Dolph Ziggler vs Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin vs AJ Styles

Man I love MITB, it’s honestly replaced Survivor Series as the #4 on WWE’s major PPVs in my opinion. I get the same level of interest as I get when it’s Royal Rumble time. The mystery of who will win just draws me in, makes me a mark hoot. Of course like the Rumble, there is a money favorite, and this year the money is on Baron Corbin. Word is WWE wants to push him to the next level, the thing is, they’ve been saying that since Wrestlemania. Where he had the opportunity to take the title from Ambrose and have an awesome Mania moment. That didn’t happen, so I’m thinking it won’t happen now, or will it? I don’t know, and that’s the cool part.

The talent involved in this match is staggering, so the spots I think will be some of the best we see all year. Ziggler makes every bump look like it hurts like hell. AJ is just….well AJ freaking phenomenal, he’s bound to do something cool. Do you guys remember Steen vs. Generico, that ladder match in Ring of Honor? Yeah so you know those two will absolutely get it done. I’ve never seen Nakamura in a ladder match, so I’m curious to see what he’s capable of. And if Corbin is supposed to be the guy who takes it, he needs to play his part to make it some what believable.

I can easily see KO or AJ taking it if not Corbin. Can you imagine if Cena broke Flair’s record at SummerSlam just for KO or AJ to spoil it, that would be glorious. Dolph hasn’t done much since he’s turned heel, so if he can grab the case it would make his turn worth it. Only person I don’t see winning is Swagsuke, I mean it would be cool, but I think MITB always works better on a heel or underdog face. I think we the fans are the real winners here, but if I had to pick someone, I’m going with the money, and the money says presence, Baron Corbin.
